Change is in the Air.......
As Lawrence pointed out to me last week, "change is in the air." It's the start of a new people year at work - new promotion to senior, new responsibilities. How different things were a year ago. A year ago, the whole crew was still at the firm - now Shahir, Shawn, Sachin and Mike are all gone. So different - I was right to think that the last office Christmas party would be the last one together. And with us all qualifying this year.......I have a feeling that a lot more will head out the door pretty soon.
This fall also marks the first Vertigo season where I'm not playing with Allan, Fiona OR Lawrence and Linda. *gasp* It is going to feel so weird with all these new faces. Especially since I played with Allan since the beginning.
Last Sunday was also the farewell service for Rev. Nolan. Seeing the slideshow brought tears to my eyes, as did Yuling's sharing of our times at Jeremiah winter retreats. Oh Jeremiah fellowship, how faraway those days seem. Nolan was my pastor for 10 years, and it's going to be hard not having him around at TCBC.
And of course, no more Angie. No Angie to call on the phone, no Angie to hang out with.
Change is in the air...........and I'm slowly accepting it and moving on.
New life, new responsibilities.....God is the only constant.
